“I pretended to be somebody I wanted to be until I became that person. Or he became me. Or we met at some point.” ~Cary Grant
Named for the Greek goddess of the Moon, the Hunt, and Childbirth, Being Artemis is about learning to embrace the woman you are, realize your full potential, and work past the mixed messages of the world to love yourself for the unique person you are.
Just like the Moon, we each have sides of Light and Dark. We can be beautiful when we radiate kindness. We have our dark moments and make mistakes. We have a calm, nurturing side and an inner wild child. We are Artemis.
We are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and women. Being Artemis is about supporting each other through the Light and the Dark. Encouraging ourselves and other women to be who we want to be. To have the strength of the huntress to pursue our life’s dreams and enjoy all it means to be female.
It took decades of putting fragments of my soul back together to get this far in the process. To get past the bullying and mental abuse of my childhood. To get out of the dark rabbit hole of my own mind that told me I would never be good enough.
My place is as your guide. Your new friend. My hope is this will become a community filled with amazing women…because you are all amazing.
